Experience everything Pearl City Clay House has to offer in this 3 week long class designed for those with little or no experience working with clay.
Through a series of directed projects, designed by our clay team, you will have a chance to try several forms of hand building, getting familiar with our studio and its equipment along the way. The course schedule is designed so that each activity builds on the one before, as you create you will gain skills and build confidence, and the whole course will culminate in the opportunity to glaze your own work during the final class session. After the final class our studio team will fire your glazed work, ready to be picked up. Students will be supplied with clay for each project in the course, and all needed tools will be available in the studio. The cost of all firings and glazes is also included in the class fee.
Class meets the following Wednesday evenings in July 12, 19, 26
Students should supply their own apron, a cotton hand towel and bring their imaginations ready to play!
