Procreate explorers

Have a tablet and want to learn how to create expressive digital paintings using Procreate? This class has you in mind. Join local artist Joe Rice in our craft studio and learn some Procreate basics, in this 4 week introductory class.

In this class, we’ll cover basic digital painting techniques and image manipulation using Procreate on the iPad as we paint a bird together. We’ll go over how to use layers, how to use the selection tool, how to transform a selection & how to choose colors using the color wheel. The artist will then lead you on a follow-along demo walking you through step-by-step to paint a bird from photo reference. Students will also receive a range of digital files including brushes, timelapse videos, and color palettes.

*Students should bring their own iPads equipped with Procreate, a digital stylus such as the Apple Pencil or similar is recommended but not required.
