Angela Caley is an artist living in Western New York State. Angela’s work is a mix of stylized realism and surrealism with a heavy emphasis on symbolism and usually depicts natural elements, landscapes, expressions of femininity, and the occasional self portrait. Angela uses mainly oil and acrylic paints along with ink on both canvas and wood, but is also known for illustrations and stippled renderings in ink on bristol. Most of her influence comes from childhood, family, travel and time spent on trail, as hiking and the outdoors have played a huge role throughout her life.
Angela has also become well known as the face/owner/creator behind the lifestyle brand PlantLife Clothing, in which she hand draws and carves block prints of nature inspired designs that she then prints of a variety of garments which she sells at several locations across the country.
