This short session is a brief introduction to the wheel and will include how to prepare your clay for the wheel\, how to center and cone the clay\, and how to begin throwing a vessel. Students will follow along with the instructor and the small group size will allow for lots of one on one feedback. At the end of the session participants can select their favorite attempt to preserve. Your instructor will finish your vessel and our team will glaze it and notify you when it is ready to pick up. \nThrowing on the wheel can get messy\, we recommend you bring an apron\, and a non-terry cloth towel/bandana for wiping your hands. Bring a friend\, a special someone\, or family member\, and together you can learn a little about the techniques involved in throwing on the wheel. \nOur fun\, friendly instructor will be there to guide you every step of the way. After you’ve created your masterpiece you’ll be able to choose your glaze color before you leave – and we take care of the rest. All trimming\, glazing\, and firings will be completed by the instructor and we will email you when your piece is ready to collect. \nThe ticket price of $55 admits two students who will share a wheel (and all the fun). \n*Throwing on the wheel can be messy\, we recommend you bring an apron to wear and a small hand towel to wipe off your hands.
