SUMMARY:Ribbon Journal
DESCRIPTION:Learn this traditional sewn binding technique while creating a customized journal to keep or gift. Usually this binding would be sewn on tapes and then hidden under the spine of the book – but we are going to show it off by sewing over ribbons and leaving the spine exposed! \nOrder a kit for this workshop from the online shop – you can customize it by supplementing your own ribbons for the ones included in the kit. \n*If you already have some bookbinding tools and materials\, you can request a supply list in lieu of the kit.

SUMMARY:Make an Art Journal Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Art journals are a great place to experiment – with color\, composition\, line\, form\, text\, or that new set of paints you just bought and are afraid to try. They are a place to PLAY\, and GROW your creativity\, with only the rules you choose to put in place. They can be cheap and cheerful or expensively polished\, whatever suits YOU! \nInterested in learning if they might be a way for you to loosen up and get creative in 2021? Then join resident paper artist Deb Eck\, and learn how to construct several different simple styles of art journals. We will explore both repurposing\, and simple book binding techniques to create a range of journal types. Then we will take a quick look at ways you can start to play in them! \nPerfect for absolute beginners – no experience needed! \nWe will send you a list of materials to gather before the class.

SUMMARY:blackout meditation group
DESCRIPTION:NOT a workshop or instructional class\, but a group for those who want to practice blackout style work and share their ideas and tips with each other. \nDeb will start each session with an inspirational quote we can use as a jumping off point for the week’s work if you so choose. Then we will co-work together. Bring your own music or share in the week’s choice. This is chance to relax and get together to share our blackout journeys. \nWe will start the year out on zoom\, but hopefully we will actually be able to get together as the year goes on! \n
