Debra Eck

Deb Eck is a mixed-media and fiber artist specializing in book arts, paper crafts, and installation work. In addition to teaching bookbinding, sewing, fabric arts, and paper crafts, she serves as the program director at Pearl City Clay House, where she helps bring creative opportunities to the community.

When she’s not in the studio experimenting with paper and thread, Deb is behind the scenes making the magic happen. As a teaching artist, she sees herself as a “map maker,” guiding students on their creative journeys while encouraging them to explore, take risks, and discover their own artistic voice. For Deb, making art is an act of agency—and her goal is to help others experience that same joy of authentic self-expression.
