Wendy Bale

Wendy Bale is a visual artist based in Jamestown, New York. After discovering cut-paper art during a workshop at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute, she fell in love with the medium and began exploring its many forms—from traditional single-sheet designs to intricate, multi-layered works. Her exhibitions include the Octagon Gallery in Westfield (2018) and a solo show, Papercuts, at the Tri-County Arts Council in Olean, NY.

In addition to her paper art, Wendy works in charcoal and often combines the two mediums. She shares her creative process through her weekly “Monday Movies” video series on YouTube and social media, offering behind-the-scenes looks and technique tips.

A lifelong nature lover, Wendy lives near the Audubon Community Nature Center with her husband, a furniture maker. Together they create in their 1880s home and studio—a former boarding house and barn. Learn more about Wendy and see her work on her website.
