Liam McSteen is a ceramic artist and art historian from Athens, Ohio. Surrounded by clay and ceramic work throughout his life, he draws inspiration from the Ohio Valley’s rich history of pottery and craftsmanship. His functional pieces reflect a deep interest in ideas of home and belonging—concepts shaped by his studies of art and history in his hometown.
Liam holds two degrees from the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University and now resides in Western New York, where he works at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute. His work has been featured in regional and national juried exhibitions, including shows hosted by Ohio University, the Majestic Gallery in Nelsonville, Watermark Gallery in Bemidji, and the Ohio Craft Museum in Columbus, where he was recognized as an Emerging Artist.
