Debra Eck

Deb Eck is the Program Director at Pearl City Clay House, where she combines her background as a professional teaching artist with her passion for building creative community. A specialist in book arts, fiber arts, and installation work, Deb holds a Master’s in Visual Culture from the University of Northumbria in the UK and a BFA in Fine Arts from the University at Buffalo.

She has more than two decades of experience teaching art and design at the college level, including courses in drawing, 2D and 3D design, and art history at Jamestown Community College. Her artwork has been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe. At Pearl City Clay House, Deb brings this extensive experience to life—curating programs, mentoring instructors, and ensuring every visitor feels inspired to explore their own creative path.
